Talk to a real person.

No call centre, no phone tree. Tell us what's going on and we'll tell you what your options are — whether you're ready to start or just working out what questions to ask.

Before you call

A few things that speed it up.

None of these are required — call us with nothing at all and we'll still help. They just save a second phone call.

  • Your My Aged Care or ACAT reference number, if you have one.
  • A rough list of what's getting hard — showering, meals, mobility, medication.
  • Who else is involved: family, GP, existing services.
  • The suburb where care is needed, so we can check availability.
Common questions

Quick answers.

If yours isn't here, ask us on the phone — we'd rather explain it properly than write it down badly.

Do I need an assessment first?

For government-funded care, yes — through My Aged Care. But you don't need one to talk to us, and we can help you request the right assessment. If you'd rather not wait, you can pay privately and start this week.

How soon can care start?

We aim to start privately funded support within a few days where we can. Funded home care depends on your assessment, and residential placement depends on availability at the home you choose.

Can you speak to my family instead?

Yes. Most first calls come from a son or daughter. With permission we'll talk with whoever is helping you make the decision, and we're glad to have everyone on the one call.

How do I give feedback or make a complaint?

Call or email us and say it's feedback — it goes to the service manager, and we acknowledge and respond fairly and quickly. You can also raise concerns with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission at any time.
